  • Question and Answer

    • General
      • What is the lead time for a given bike?

It is best for you to contact your Gazelle dealer for this. Many bikes are available for immediate delivery from the dealer's stock. If a certain bike is not available he can request a lead time for you.

      • Where can I order parts for my bike?

You can only order parts through your Gazelle dealer. He can also advise you about price and delivery.

      • Where can I find specifications for my bike?
Once you have selected a bike using the Bike Comparer on the homepage or through the collection page, you will find the Specifications tab at the bottom of the page. This contains comprehensive information such as weight, components fitted, etc.
You can also choose a model in the Bike Comparer and compare it with another two models.
      • How is the correct frame size measured?

We apply the following rule of thumb as a guideline for the correct frame size: you measure your inside leg with your shoes off, subtract 28 cm from this measurement and you will have a recommended size for a town sports bike or a hybrid. This will be within a margin of around 2 cm. We would advise you to go to a dealer with a measuring system in order to be measured accurately. With the current sprung seat posts you need to allow for the fact that they will always protrude by a minimum of 6 to 7 cm from the frame. Your dealer will be able to advise you on which size suits you best if you fall exactly between two frame sizes.

      • Where can I find the theft prevention chip number for my AXA Defender lock?
On the side of the rear fork, just under the curve of the lock. It always starts with 999.0528 plus another 8 figures. When the bike is delivered there is normally a barcode sticker as well showing the theft prevention chip number affixed to the lock.
NB: AXA Defender locks are the only ones that have a theft prevention chip.
    • Guarantee
      • How long is the warranty period for my new Gazelle?

Gazelle gives you no less than a 10-year warranty against material and construction defects on the frame and non-suspension front forks. This is obviously subject to the bike being treated, used and maintained normally. There is a 5-year warranty on suspension front forks. The paintwork on the frame and the front forks is covered by a 5-year warranty period. Components on your bike are covered by a 2-year warranty subject to normal use and maintenance.

Please refer to the user manual received at the time of purchase for the exact warranty terms and conditions. You can also find this manual on the Manuals page. You can always refer to your Gazelle dealer for warranty assessments.

      • The bike is within the warranty period and appears to have a defect. What do I need to do?

You are best to go back to your Gazelle dealer. He is the cycle specialist you can go to with any questions you may have. In most cases he will be able to come up with a solution there and then. If this does not prove successful, he will contact the Gazelle Service and Warranty Department in order to resolve the issue.
