The Avignon C380 HMB Limited has a sleekly designed frame, with as many components as possible hidden from view. This applies, for example, to the cables – they run neatly inside – but also to the battery. This is integrated within the down tube. The internal positioning of the battery makes the e-bike look like a normal bicycle and improves the cycling characteristics. The battery is positioned low in the frame, which enhances stability and improves road holding. The high-capacity battery (up to 625 Wh) powers the Bosch Performance Line mid-mounted motor. With a torque of 65 newton metres, it lends itself to all types of terrain, whether flat or hilly.
Upright sitting position at the Avignon
The Avignon 380 HMB Limited is all about comfort. The frame offers a comfortable upright sitting position, which provides a good overview while cycling and therefore control. The sitting position is easy to adjust, thanks to the seamlessly adjustable handlebar stem. This allows the cyclist to set the handlebar more upright or more sporty, for example. The thicker anti-puncture tyres (Scalato Mondano, 55-622), the leather grips, the gel saddle (Selle Royal Essenza Plus) and the suspension in the front fork and seat post also increase comfort.

Ease of handling
Gazelle offers comfort in yet another way: the e-bike is easy to use. It has a low and wide entry for easy mounting and dismounting and is equipped with the Enviolo Trekking Manual, the continuously variable gear system. You turn the adjuster on the handlebar to shift lighter or heavier, so you are always in the right gear. There are no more steps in between, as with traditional systems.
The Avignon is even equipped with automatic daytime running lights, familiar from the car world; the brightness is adjusted fully automatically. The low-maintenance belt drive also creates convenience. You don’t need to lubricate it like a chain. On the road, the belt functions silently. The hydraulic disc brakes provide plenty of well-dosed braking power, whatever the weather.
Winner iF Design Award
In recent years, Gazelle has done extremely well in the area of design. The new Avignon has already won the renowned iF Design Award 2022. The jury particularly praised the way in which the concept of a comfort bicycle was translated into the sleek design. The modern paint colour, pebble grey matt, underlines the design. A unique feature is the number of size options, from XS (46 cm) to XXL (65 centimetres), with the latter size being new for a bike with low entry. The Avignon 380 HMB Limited has a recommended retail price of £ 3999 including 625 Wh battery.
