Gazelle Ultimate HMB Mandatory Service Enhancement

Dear Customer,

We are informing you that Gazelle USA, LLC is initiating a mandatory frame enhancement for all Royal Dutch Gazelle Ultimate HMB low step frames, including models C8, T10, and C380. No other frames or models are affected.

Although the Ultimate HMB low step frames meet all U.S. safety regulations, Gazelle's ongoing quality control process has revealed that the frames can nevertheless be further strengthened to minimize the potential for the frame to be compromised in the event of an extraordinary impact outside normal use, such as a collision. Accordingly, because we are committed to providing our customers with bikes that exceed applicable safety standards, Gazelle is initiating a service enhancement pursuant to which all such frames will be fitted with a simple reinforcement. Customers can make an appointment with their local Gazelle dealer for this free service enhancement. The service enhancement is a simple procedure that in many cases will be able to be performed in a number of minutes while you wait. Please coordinate with your retailer to confirm.

You can easily check whether your Gazelle Ultimate HMB is eligible for the service enhancement program. To do this, enter your frame number, which you can find under the down tube next to the bottom bracket. The number, which consists of 8 numbers, is stated on a white sticker as illustrated in the image.
