COVID-19 Response by Royal Dutch Gazelle

Keep Calm & Pedal Responsibly

Dear Gazelle Family,

As a 128-year-old company, we have seen a lot over the years, but the spread of COVID-19 has brought forth a set of unique challenges unlike any we have ever faced as part of a global community.

Now more than ever, we see the importance of reflection and finding gratitude for all we have and love. For Gazelle, this is our employees, retailers, and community of riders. Our priority is to do everything we possibly can to help everyone stay safe. We implore you, as members of the Gazelle family, to do your part in helping stop the spread of the virus by respecting any and all travel and riding restrictions in your area.

Gazelle is proud to support small businesses and help provide safe, efficient transportation solutions and mental health-care in uncertain times. We are working closely with our retail partners to fulfill orders, help provide service and replacement parts, and comply with local government directives. Shelter in place orders and classification of bike shops as essential transportation providers are varying from place to place, so our team remains in constant close contact with shops to ensure compliance, safe working conditions, and most importantly, helping people who need bikes get bikes.

If your bike needs service or you are looking to get a bike for transportation, we encourage you to reach out to your local Gazelle shop to get the most up-to-date information on hours of operation and store policies. Riders can continue to access information about our bikes through the website - we are keeping an extra close eye on all incoming inquiries.

We know that even under normal circumstances, bikes are an integral part of so many people's lives; we rely on them for transportation, recreation, and self-care. In these uncertain and often stressful times, we recognize that biking is more important than ever, so long as we do it safely and responsibly. If you do go for a ride, ensure your bike is well-maintained and functioning properly, follow your local guidelines, stay close to home, and stay extra alert.

We remain confident and hopeful in the face of tough times, knowing that we have strong relationships with each other, our partners, and our customers, and a shared love of cycling and the freedom that comes with it. We are in this together and will weather this together.

Stay Safe, Take Care. Be kind.
